Vaal Temple unaccessable

The console necessary to open the vaal temple is not selectable. It does it's little pop up animation when you enter the room, but cannot be interacted with.

previously I had been using the temple in a non standard way. rather than activating the 6 beacons and running the temple. I would run the 6 beacons, then place the temple tiles and then go out and continue the campaign.

also, previously, Alva was in the room, but now she's gone. Let me know if any additional information would be helpful
