Atlas Fog of War Inconsistent Behavior

The Atlas fog of war is selectively displaying effects like corruption areas.

A number of corruption areas under fog of war had nothing displayed under them until I revealed a rather far away corruption area.

This is inconsistent behavior, as the fog of war edge had not been changed in the areas that all of a sudden were displaying corruption areas. Additionally, this behavior feels very inconsistent with prior leagues.
