Ignite Magnitude Scarcity

Ignite is underrepresented in the meta.

I think it's because ignite damage is lackluster and there aren't many ways to scale ignite damage.

Note and tldr
- Ignite damage was buffed in 0.3 with the addition of the Blackflame Covenant keystone, allowing you to convert fire damage to chaos and scale your damage with wither.
- But with the 0.4 nerfs to rune limits, ignite was possibly inadvertently nerfed as well.

0.3 added
- Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty
- Desecrated mod on gloves - incr magnitude of ailments
- Essence mod 100% increased effect of socketed runes

0.4 heavily nerfed sources of ignite magnitude
- Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty (Limit 1)

Previously you could get
60% magnitude on belt(Darkness Enthroned + 2 runes)
30% on gloves with the rune + increased effect of socketed runes
(60% on gloves if it had 2 sockets)
20% on gloves desecrated mod

total = 140% with perfect items

Currently you can get
40% magnitude on belt(Darkness Enthroned + 1 Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty)
20% on gloves desecrated mod

total = 60% with perfect items

and that's it.

Consider adding a rune specifically for ignite magnitude with higher numbers and no limits.

EDIT: Forgot to include 30% ignite magnitude per jewel socket

Plus, Searing Flame II numbers. (support gem for ignite magnitude)

with Searing Flame II
100 dmg = 70 + ((70 x .4) x 4 seconds) = 182 dmg in 4 seconds

without Searing Flame II
100 dmg = 100 + ((100 x .2) x 4 seconds) = 180 dmg in 4 seconds

Ignite Prolif
- Cracklecreep
- Support gem (would have to use support for each spell)

IMO

Ignite Magnitude
- Buff infused Fireball damage
- Rune for ignite magnitude
- Other sources of ignite magnitude
- Buff ignite magnitude base numbers

Ignite Prolif
- Consider adding a keystone for ignite prolif
- Consider buffing aoe and speed of prolif

I am convinced GGG made the ailment system so complicated they don't understand how flammability magnitude vs. ignite magnitude work anymore or something. There's very few ignite magnitude nodes on the tree for instance.

Yeah, I initially thought the flammability magnitude buffs were for ignite magnitude.

Was kind of a weird buff. Possibly just to help builds that needed to ignite more often. Builds that just use the ailment or something, since there aren't any popular builds that focus on ignite damage.

But also, after adding blackflame covenant, chaos damage is the best way to scale ignites. So buffing the fire ignite magnitude nodes would make pathing the passive tree weird.

They need to just add other sources of ignite magnitude I think.
(Especially after the nerf to rune limits.)

I think it's extra funny that the ascendency called the "infernalist" whose picture is the character on fire shooting flaming skulls and stuff has no way to scale flammability, ignite, or even fire damage lol
