Kingsmrach - Won't allow me back into town

Playing on PlayStation during couch co-op. Started Act 4, picked up quest item in Journey's End, and headed back to Kingsmarch. Loaded outside of town, crossed the bridge, and couldn't get past the threshold when playing with another player on my account. If we exit and I load my character only, then I can get back in. Tried several workarounds, but each time we try to play together I get denied access back into town, but he can cross over. Please advise and help.
