Three leagues in a row I've stuck with a weak build

Lich, Curse, Contagion, Essence Drain, Dark Effigy. Yeah, any PoE2 player who's tried it knows exactly what build I'm talking about.
This archetype has never been a powerhouse—mediocre mapping, even worse bossing. But I love chaos spells, so I've stuck with it.
Not only has it never gotten buffs, they've even nerfed its comfort zone. This league, they inexplicably slashed curse range, forcing me to recast curses multiple times in boss arenas because they don't reach—and that's with me speccing out nearly every AoE node on the tree.
