Fulmination and static shock II self shock
|
Using thunderstorm with shock conduction seems to be resulting in self shock if I get too close to the shocked enemies.
I've seen this issue being posted but wanted to add it again for as much visibility as possible. Afaik I cant turn off fulmination so I'm stuck with this. I have been scaling shock magnitude and have the double shock stormweaver ascendancy so I am double shocking myself.... For a solution I have socketed commiserate into thunderstorm to cleanse my shock whenever I shock something. That seems to be keeping shock off me, but I havent noticed any increased magnitude from commiserate. Sucks to need to use a whole socket to get around this bug. Sorry I meant Shock Conduction II in the title

I have the same bug. Bought my Scepter yesterday and was doing well, today I logged back in and the bug is here. It took 6 deaths to identify why I was so squishy... Turn out with this bug you self-hit and apply all relevant debuffs.
Was self-hitting with Lightning while applying 47% shock and 42% exposure... Removing the Scepter and putting it back on removed the bug FYI. |

Nevermind its already back and I died again. I'm losing all my maps and exp to this bug it's quite frustrating

Overcharge support?

You are right that Commiserate is preventing the bug.
It is really weird, Commiserate isn't cleansing the shock, it's preventing it from being applied in the first place - which shouldn't be the case. This is why you don't see the 40% more magnitude applied to enemies. In my case, I was self-shocking and also self-exposing. With Commiserate, I am no longer exposed which means that the shock wasn't cleansed : it wasn't even applied in the first place. All of this is very weird |

No this is not coming from Overcharge, this is a real bug occurring from a weird interaction between Fulmination and Shock Conduction II.
