Reworked (or fixed) Time Freeze

I like the ascendancy and it is playable but Time Freeze definitely falls off on advantages. Theres more benefit to going the other way and just do more direct DPS with cooldown resets.
I don't expect it to do all aspects of freezing time because I can see how OP it could get. But maybe if it was designed to have 2 options like the other Ascendancy nodes. Either: Option A = (similar to current) AOE trigger 'freezes' enemies reached by the blast. Freeze includes all enemy buffs & debuffs cooldowns AND any changes to enemy health or ES-- any damage dealt is delayed (probably displayed as a transparent bar) and all dealt at once when the effect expires ("enemies on Full or Low Life" effects will benefit from this) Your values (Life,ES,mana) are also 'paused' but costs are still required and just delayed same with recoveries (benefits from Low or Full life effects). Shorter duration probably. Other environments (ground effects act normally) Minions, or any new enemies entering are not affected. Option B = A time freeze 'bubble' area is created and everything in the area (including your minions) is frozen in place including any other enemy that will touch the edges. Longer duration. Enemy & your values (HP, ES, mana) work normally-- recoveries and boss form changes trigger as well. Enemy Ground effects don't affect you during this. Your Duration skills & Ground effects, ex. Flame wall or Jagged Ground, work but timers are paused (limits are bypassed with multiple casts but limit rules apply when bubble expires). Debuffs, & DoTs on you are 'paused' not affecting you while in bubble. DoTs on enemies work normally but timers paused. Buffs timers are paused as well. Projectiles are frozen in place and only fire after bubble expires. (allowing for stacking and other combos) You & Enemies can die in the bubble (enemy projectiles can hit you if collided upon). [P.S. this option might overload PCs lol] Each having their own advantages & disadvantages. Also having their own unique visual flair & playstyle. Last bumped on Dec 18, 2025, 10:55:54 PM

P.S. also rework Temporal Rift by being able to choose which afterimage you can return to. Make it like a very quick channel cast cycling through the afterimages. OR have it as a choice between the two with the other option as an alt-cast by activating or deactivating it in the skill gem.
