Can anyone answer a question about the VAAL TEMPLES in mapping?

I am trying to grasp how Vaal Temples work while i map.
My assuption: When you clear a vaal pad thingy for the final red light, and it opens the portal, you can finish your current map (aka kill boss) and then come back to it and complete it. The reality: I just finished a map with an open and discovered Vaal temple teleportal pad, and when i went to go complete the dungeon AFTER i killed the final boss of the map, i found that the tp entrance had disappeared. My assumption: If i decide to go in and do the vaal temple BEFORE i finish my map, (aka kill the final boss), and i spend the time clearing every room, every boss, every vault, everything... i can still go back out and complete my map. The reality: I finish every room in the Vaal Temple and then teleport out to complete my map, but my map is closed. no teleporter in my hideout any longer. So i lose my maps final objective, killing the boss, and the rewards that come with it. Can anyone clarify why this has happened, and if its just a bug or if this is intended? Confused by the Vaal Temples. At this point i don't run them because i am trying to build up my map stocks. If i run the vaal temple, my map closes. If i ignore the vaal temple and finish the map, the vaal temple entrance disappears. Also i saw someone mention you can "stack" your vaal temples. I assumed this meant that every time i get an entrance to spawn to a vaal temple, that i can go in, spend my tiles on the map, then immediately tp out without running the vaal temple, and continue with my map, and that the tiles i placed will be available NEXT time i reveal a vaal temple entrance. And that i can stack them without running them, saving the actual vaal temple run for later. Anyone clarify? the loop is
Primary Content > Vaal Circle 6 times > Go to temple (fast travel from a waypoint or a map) > Access console > place rooms and this is where my understanding breaks down Can I just go back to primary content once I've placed the rooms and do the vaal circle 6 times for more room tiles and repeat that until I have the temple completely full of rooms and then run it, or am I forced to run it as soon as I've placed the tiles one time? For clarity, finish your map/content and then fast travel to the temple afterwards. IGN : Reamus

Thanks!
I keep interacting with it when i see it. I discovered that when i go into the vaal temple teleport (the "pad thingy") go to the console, place my available tiles, but don't run the temple, in the next map when i run across another "pad thingy" and clear it of mobs, the portal pops up again, all 6 lights are still lit. |

Ah, so apparently you just finish your map and go fill up the temple and then run the temple.

Ok so i ran another map, the Vaal temple portal came up out of the ground after i cleared the mobs on it. I continued on with the map and killed the boss, and THIS time, the vaal temple portal was still there when i returned.
