Flame breath logical losses
|
After some time of playing with wyvern flame breath I've found some logical disadvantages:
1) With this skill wyvern is flying. Then why character cannot fly over the obstacles? Even Pounce let to jump over them, while flying with flame breath is not actually flying :( 2) Also why wyvern is affected by ground effects while character use flame breath, which is actually moves wyvern to the air? 3)Why wyvern cannot fly away from danger by using dodge roll or wing blast without interapting flame breath? Especially wing blast... I suggest rework this moments for the sake of logic and common sense :) Last bumped on Jan 18, 2026, 6:50:16 PM

Add to this the fact you can be knocked back and your model size still the same (I think) and you receiving the same problem as dodge-roll had. If I can't dodge then ok, I'll use moving speed. But I am feeling like a ball that mobs kicking. I am slow even with Mobility, some passives for less movement speed penalty, movement speed itself, and I can easily can be cornered because my model is so huge and I can't even maneuver between mobs.
I am flying, ok? My size must count as minimum like you did with dodge-roll. I have good build, but I can't bypass this mechanics. It's just gives me disadvantage. UPD: Hm... or I just need to add Windwalker with knockback... Last edited by ImtheRequiem#3270 on Jan 18, 2026, 6:10:47 PM

One thing I didn't like the most with flame breath is that smaller enemies still hit you with their melee attacks. You are in a very disadvantageous position already while channeling and it becomes useless when you swarmed by mobs.
I suggest only bosses and archers could hit you in this state. Anyways, electro oil channeling is much better, easier to aim, damage is ~same. |
