Locked out of atziris and architects rooms

I had gotten to atziris room two days ago but the game crashed and the temple was closed when I relogged. Since then all of the rooms in the front rows are guard type rooms and the only way to move closer to the end is by adding more of those types. It’s taken roughly ten runs but I finally connected to atziris room that way and neither her room nor the architects connect to the adjacent rooms. I don’t know if this is by design but I have not been able to find any information online about how to reset the temple or any other way to get those rooms out of the way so I can make a path. Seems like poor design to not have rooms that are adjacent connect. Not sure what the point of that is other than to waste my time.
