Trails of Sekhemas needs to go
|
The honor mechanic is one of the worst parts of this game. Please rework or remove this altogether. Most players often skip this altogether by waiting until they can do trails of chaos or procrastinate doing ascendancy because of how awful the design of this is. I have plenty of damage and health but lose because the final boss hits me for 1k honor.

Trials are fine as they are, and easy as hell. It teaches you very useful skills called DON'T GET HIT. It also teaches you to think a little and plan ahead, so you can avoid negative outcomes (like bad afflictions). Don't path yourself into limited choices.

On lvl 22 the sekhema boss certainly doesn't hit you for 1k honor. Mostly because you don't even have close to 1k honor. On your thrid ascendency you have like 2k+ honor, but with a little honor resist that will not hit your for 1k either.
Reality is you need to manage your run. Pick rooms that are good for you, pick rooms that don't hold negative afflictions that are particularly bad for you, try to not get hit to conserve honor as much as possible so you can pick rooms with sacred water and buy boons down the line, pick rooms that give you multiple ways to progress so you aren't locked into one path. In short: Plan your journey through the rooms properly, have a bit of honor resist and it should be a breeze. If I can do it on lvl 22 as warrior, you can do it too. i understand people saying 'don't get hit' but how am i supposed to do that when the screen is full of affects that hit me AFTER the boss is dead? i dodge roll out of the way of one attack, boss goes down (second boss, the fire and ice twins) and WHILE I AM DODGING those ice projectiles come flying out of nowhere and land exactly where i was dodge rolling to. and as the OP says - it takes out like 1k honour while you are trying to do 3rd ascendancy (u have like 1,5k max).
the movement is to limited, it is designed in a way (it feels like) where you have to eat some damage. i also had experiences of my skills not hitting an enemy even though i obviously HIT the enemy (some weird behaviour on certain terrains) and then their subsequent attack takes me out cuz obviously in my head i registered 'mob dead'. lost maps in a similar fashion as well multiple times :/ it's bugs like this that make me lose interest in the game. blasphemy+temporal chains for some reason keeps turning off when i enter maps - even when i learn to reactivate it, sometimes you leave a map and return to it or do Abyssal depths and simply forget about the bug then die to monsters gain +50% skill speed etc. ik i am gonna get sarcastic replies but i hate the feeling of a game being unfair and it is honestly what it feels like. not gonna mention abbysal mods vs builds that literally rely on life recovery (demonform). i don't even get a chance to react to those xD playing bone cage btw, not some screen wipping op build. |

The part where the ice hits you is bullshit. I agree with that.
Okay, but from what you write you are clearly not ready for the third ascendency yet. It's smarter to only go in at like lvl 70 with your lvl 60 token. Also buying relics with honor resistence (and maybe some max honor) is necessary (or farm them). If you are inexperienced it is best to use the lvl 64, 65, 66 token to train with and farm up some relics and get some experience with the game mechanic. And then when you come back to it being level 70 or 75, using a lvl 60 token and having 2-3k honor, 50% honor res and with knowledge how to best approach it, it should be easily doable Last edited by Slart1bartfast#0332 on Dec 15, 2025, 6:26:05 PM

" that isn't the point i am making - the game starts dropping 3rd asc tokens before that point right? i did finish the asc on lvl 62 or smth, i got my points, i got out of there alive. i am just saying the punishment is BS in my honest opinion. so it isn't skill issue or not being ready or not being experienced. the problem is i come out of the experience feeling completely frustrated and exhausted by what i just had to endure. literally not getting hit once through first 2 floors, pathing correctly, using the relics i had gotten up to that point (smth like 30% honour resist - again, working with what i was given) and then almost immediately losing to a single hit doesn't feel ok, it feels unbalanced. i was left with 500honor (from 1,8k i think) - 0 room for error in a trial that lasts for an hour isn't ok. and getting hit due to bugs (the unhittable monster) has also nothing to do with how prepared i was. |

It really, really does.

It absolutely dosen't need to go.
You can 100% skip it, I don't understand why you want it to be removed when you have the option of ascending with the temple of chaos. There are 99 problems with this game and sekehemas ain't one. I have all 4 points ascendancy this league and I haven't run a single instance of sekehemas. |
