Savage Fury cancels activation constantly

This skill granted by the spirit gem is cancelled by pretty much every other skill. This means if you go to activate it you have to wait around for half a second or longer just to make sure you don't try attacking or rolling too soon afterwards. Why does this buff even have a cast time, let alone such a long one? Who at GGG hate fluid gameplay so much they decided it was a good idea to put so many clunky conditionals and cast times on everything? The enemies are too fast and the durations too short for this kind of design. If you wanted "souls-like" buffs where you have to commit to cast them, then they need long durations and requirements that are intended to be cast out of combat or during safe periods, if you want flowing combat with fluid combos they need to have at least 1/10th the animation cost, even without investment (because pressing the button is already more "investment" than 90% of passive character power). It isn't meaningful combat when the best option is to just refuse to engage with the design because it is layering punishment on top of punishment for just trying to play it legitimately.
