PoE 2 (0.4.x) causes GPU device reset and permanent DisplayPort signal loss

After updating to PoE 2 version 0.4.x the game intermittently causes a GPU device reset that results in a permanent loss of video signal when using DisplayPort.
The monitor goes black and reports “No Signal” while the PC remains running. Recovery is only possible via full power cycle

This does not occur when using HDMI under the same conditions

The issue did not exist in previous PoE 2 versions on the same hardware

Screen goes black (“No Signal”)
DisplayPort connection does not recover
Audio may continue briefly or stop
PC does not BSOD or reboot
Requires full power-off to restore video

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti
Driver: Latest NVIDIA driver (also tested clean install via DDU)
OS: Windows 11
API tested: DirectX 12 and Vulkan (both affected)
Monitor connected via DisplayPort
No GPU overclock
No thermal issues (temperatures normal)

Client logs show repeated GPU device resets and swapchain recreation attempts, without a fatal crash:

TriggerDeviceReset
RestartSwapChain
Re-enumeration of adapter/output (\\.\DISPLAY1)
No fatal exception or access violation
This strongly suggests a DX12/Vulkan device reset leading to DisplayPort link failure, not a normal game crash

Workaround

Using HDMI instead of DisplayPort completely avoids the issue:
No crashes observed so far
Same settings, same driver, same hardware

DisplayPort appears unable to recover from the GPU device reset triggered by PoE 2 0.4.x, while HDMI survives the reset correctly.
This looks like a regression introduced in recent updates likely related to rendering/device recovery changes

DP cable replacement to the brand new didn't help
