Why do we need to manually dismount to cast town portal?..

I mean, why can't it be automatic as it used to?
I get that our char need to be dismounted for proper animation and shit. No complaints there. But I don't get why I need to push extra button for it. Especially while other stuff, like levers and whatnot, still use auto-dismount just fine. And it makes the gameplay much smoother.
