Lost Boss drops

I spent 30 minutes trying to kill the first boss of the second act, when I finally manage to kill it. I hear my character saying "ambush" and then I die, lose all the rewards and that's it.

What kind of game is that? The idea is to frustrate the player until he stops playing?
