Spirit Gems cannot be activated (at all)

I noticed that when I took a second spirit gem (Herald of Plague), and deactivated my Wind Dancer gem to activate it, Wind Dancer now says it cannot be activated and it is "Not usable with current Weapon Settings".

I thought it might be my gems, but I only had Blind and Pin. I rmoved them anyway, and nothing changed.

I thought it might be something with how Herald of Plague was interacting with it, so I disabled Herald of Plague.

Now I cannot reactivate Herald of Plague either, and it has the same error.

I tried removing my equipment. No change. (except the error changed to "Incorrect weapon type")

I tried moving the gems. No change.

I tried equipping a DIFFERENT weapon. No change.

I tried logging out and back in. No change.

I tried to disable my spirit gems on a different character, worked fine for that character, no change on the one in question.

Same bug with mirage deadeye/archer/herald of storm instead

Found the "fix", the spirit gems are randomly having the weapon set disabled despite me not actually disabling the weapon set.

I reactivated the gem for weapon set 1 and it started working again.

Still a bug, just not the one initially thought.

can you walk me through the steps of that workaround?

Open the skill tab. Press the arrow next to the skill. Open the analysis tab and go down to the two unchecked boxes and press one of them. Bingo
..skill activated. You need to do it all the time. It's a bug
