Infernalist Seething Body feeling kinda shit.

So, I've tried the ascendancy now for a bit, and I am not a fan, not at all. There's just too many downsides with it.
Sure, archon is great, but having to juggle it with effectively having 35% of your mana pool while doing it feels reaaally bad. And if you go over it? Well then it's basically worse than just having the normal archon nodes on the tree. Also, it feels a bit weird having a node be so dependent on picking like 10-15 nodes on your passive tree to feel impactful.

I like that archon is now more general, just elemental instead of fire/cold/lightning. But this ascendancy point just feels off. I feel like I would get more efficiency of mana usage, archon uptime and ascendancy point usage by just not speccing into Seething body and instead have archon of blizzard combined with convalescence to pop archon.

Why not make it buff ignite in some meaningful way instead for example? This is not it. Previous iteration of the ascendancy felt way more impactful.

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has enjoyed the new seething body. Personally I was disappointed as the old seething body could be used with a wider variety of skills and damage types.

New Seething Body is a trap. Old version was much better. I'm not sure they know how self cast Infernalist is played. That or they do and it was an intentional nerf in disguise.

I see a lot about Blood Mage on these forums but once Infernalist comes online they're better damage and sustain. Unlimited mana and ~10k Recoup going. They literally have to be one-shot.

You get Demon Form which will carry you well enough. Sit on your points, then take Pyromantic Pact, Grinning Immolation and uncap your Demon Form stacks. Then just cook yourself.

I tried to play pet hybrid in 0.1 but it was really boring. Infernalist doesn't make much sense (esp after nerfing the hound) unless you self nuke yourself. Not sure what they're trying to do.
