Respec restrictions while leveling

Why are you, GGG, so against some QoL when it comes to re-specializing during the campaign?? If I want to respec I need to have enough gold to unspec a portion of my talent tree, extra spirit gems, extra skill gems, and extra support gems and then rerun a trial to change ascendancies. Leveling for a non-sweat-build-guide-follower is a process of trial and error where we make mistakes trying out new things! Why are we punished for this??? Tried out the new virasha ascendancy only to find out it is pretty much dog shit, so I am trying to switch to ED/Contagion Chronomancer, but I do not have a single support gem or spirit gem and haven't seen either one drop in hours of gameplay.

Just seems like we aren't supposed to try things out in this game, we have to go into a league with every single choice already mapped out and decided before we start. Some people want to mess around and actually craft their own builds which requires having a more fluid way of re-specializing.

Anyway, thats my rant for the day, back to praying for some support gems to drop for the next few hours. Have good day!
