Arcane Isle Hideout is bugged as hell

I do not understand why someone changed way to decorate a hideout and right now it is basically impossible to do with a controller.

Why i need to drag a waypoint and a map device instead of just spawning it anywhere i want like in POE 1? How am i supposed to even drag waypoint to the top of the tower, specially that its clearly bugged cuz showing on some secluded isle that i do not have any access to? Why i cant even cancel my choice and i MUST placed things in a new place? What is going on here?

I dont understand why anyone made that change in the way to decorate a hideout and thought its a good idea. Its beyond my mind.

Its my fav hideout and im so angry that i cant use it in POE 2 cuz of some stupid changes that no one asked for.

I cant edit this hideout at all either. Pretty disappointed, considering how expensive it was.
same... I payed 90$ for this and now a can t use it
I’m having the same issue. The waypoint either appears on an unreachable island or glitches out into the air away from the tower entirely if I try to place it from the top of the tower.
Thanks for your feedback, you have definitely identified a bug with that hideout and we'll aim to fix this ASAP. All MTX including UTILITY items should be placeable anywhere in your hideout, without exception.

We will also investigate improving the UI and tutorial system for the editor, as it has changed considerably in 0.4.0 to improve controller UX.
The clock tower's MTX can't be repositioned on the map; it's not possible to change its position within the map itself. There might be an option to select its position in the hideout, since I've always placed it at the bottom of my screen. I'd like to be able to move it to where the charms are, but that's impossible. I'm not a streamer, so I don't need it locked at the top for other people to see; it's for me.

Edit: For example, to avoid problems with its adjustment, the position could be selectable when configuring the MTX in the hideout. This way, the position it would have on the map for those using a controller would appear, and with one of the joysticks, you could move it to the desired position. This method would save this configuration problem for any player on the map. It's not just that I don't like the position when using a controller; it also hides the boss health bar and some modifiers. Many players use the FPS data displayed on the screen by the game, and the top of the screen becomes cluttered with information if certain things can't be moved.

Additionally, I don't know if it was an intentional error, but now, when using a controller, the map statistics when we're inside the map and press Start are too dark, almost impossible to read.

We also have the problem that, since we can't press Z to hide the loot from the ground and press it again to show it, it ends up in positions that are impossible to pick up. It would be appreciated if some things like this could still be used even when the keyboard is connected. I'm not talking about complicated things, just very small quality-of-life details like this.

Hey, I have the same issue and GGG Support was no help at all. But I think I found a work around that may help.

When you're build select the item that you are unable to move to the second floor(make sure you're on the second floor). As you have the item selected, hit start and go to character select screen or force quit your game. Once you load back in the item should now be on the second floor. Hope this helps you as I've spent hours trying to make it work.

Thanks for your further feedback, I have a few questions if you could help me clarify.

(1) When you say "clock tower's MTX" are you referring to the "Gold Timekeeper's Map Device"?

(2) Can I just confirm you are in Hideout EDIT MODE when you try to place or move the MTX? To access/toggle edit more you press L3(Left Stick Button).

(3) Controller does have the same functionality to toggle pickup labels, if you bind the action "Toggle Label Visibility" it allows you to perform the same action as the "z" key on MKB.

Hope this helps.
