I'm about to drop the B word, and I'll drop it so hard it'll make your head spin!

Fourth "league" and I'll just drop this here:

I'm BORED out of my fucking mind. And seriously demotivated knowing that after the BORING, slow, unrewarding and long as hell campaign, there's a steaming pile of BORING fuckall waiting for you in the endgame.

I've actually spent more time watching Anime on the second monitor than playing the game.

I've quite enjoyed 0.1. Sad to say that was probably the best "league" PoE 2 had to date.
I've somewhat tolerated (but more or less hated 0.2) but still was able to go through the campaign and enjoyed that.
New acts were (sorta) fun in 0.3 but then I finally realized that the endgame is ... pretty much nothing (Last Epoch sorta deal, polished fuckall)
Now I'm 10 hours in, still in Act 2 and I spend more time out of the game than in it. It's just BORING. And I think it's mostly because there is nothing to look forward to after the campaign.

It's a year later and I can summarize PoE 2 like this: BORING, run of the mill Diablo-like.
Path of Exile 1 isn't or wasn't any of those. And I don't mean Diablo-like as a compliment either.

Sorry not sorry. I just wanted to say that. I'm not mad .... just disappointed.

I can relate to that growing feeling of boredom. It's hard to conclusively pin it to one or more specific things, but i find myself already skipping my first league even though the game's not even a year old.
I didn't even start this league, for multiple reasons :

First, due to their ridiculously tight self-imposed schedule, i expected and still expect this league to be less playable than the ones before because of unsolved bugs that keep piling up (too early to know if my expectation will prove true, but that awful start i keep reading about here doesn't seem promising).

Second, cause i'm personally not a fan of these leagues with overly convoluted mechanics.
Of all things you could have brought back, this is what gets picked ? That's weird to me. But ok, preferences differ and all.

Also, the damage that i feel that a lot of these new ideas and changes has already done to the franchise (call it 'the vision' if you will). The game is too limiting in many aspects. And when they nerf, they often tend to go too far or nerf the wrong things, regularly leading to dead/unfun builds or delivering too much collateral damage.

And lastly, the fact that the endgame was not reworked in this patch as they initially intended, except for the minor tablet-related changes they already dropped before to gauge reactions.

Most of these things easily tie back in to their time and staffing problems.
Sadly, that doesnt make them less impactful...
I not going to make sweeping generalizations or lay down predictions for the future, but come on guys. Do it right or don't do it at all. But please change your approach to actually get it right

Thank you for writing it down.

I've also played since the very start, and play less every "league". My main issue is that I hate mapping -- I play PoE1 to mainly delve and heist, and there's nothing similar in PoE2. Get to endgame, map til blue in the face. Not for me. I keep hoping they'll add some bite-sized shorter content but it's just all in-map stuff that feels like an absolute chore if you're not playing meta and screen-wiping in 1 second.
I love it, and i hate Path of Exile 1.

Same here — I hate mapping! Although I complete the Atlas in every league in POE1, my main focus is always on Simulacrums and Delve. That's what drives me to play and enjoy every league in POE1. Although there are Simulacrums in POE2, they don't feel as good as they do in POE1. It's always the same layout and there are no super chase items like a 1-passive Voices. It just feels dull compared to POE1. And, well, there is no Delve in POE2. It's a shame they didn't come up with it for this league instead of the really boring Temples running. Most people skip it in POE1, and I cannot imagine it being any different in POE2.

Of course, POE2 hasn't been around as long as POE1, and there will probably be much more endgame content added to POE2 over time. But there are so many issues with the game right now that it will probably take forever to reach the level that POE1 has been at for years.

My son and I are pretty much already done. It's not hard we have done it 70 times by now, it is conflated slowing.
