Anti-cheat False Positive

So after the patch I've been getting the "you have been detected running cheating software" screen, I'm not and seeing "this is your only warning" isn't really reassuring.
I've checked most similar posts and I'm not running any of the apps mentioned, I don't have a ultra-wide monitor, not running any overlay etc. I got rid of Exiled Exchange just in case but it didn't help, also running an antivirus scan rn in case I have a trojan or smt but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Contacting support also wasn't helpful at all and I just got told to "go figure out whatever is wrong with our game yourself"

It also doesn't help that I have no clue how this anti-cheat system even works - I can still log into the game and play on my characters after closing the warning but how does it even determine if I'm cheating? If it scanned my processes and found something why would it let me log on? Do I get banned at a random time after I log on or what? Is it even safe to play rn?

It honestly sucks so much that I have to deal with this right at league start and that I'll probably need to send out unban appeals when or if it does just ban my account

Have you or other applications installed on your computer added files to the game's install directory?

GGG don't want people running any third-party software in relation to Path of Exile. Stop thinking of it in terms of certain programs being blacklisted and start thinking of some being whitelisted.

Nobody's going to spend ages guessing at what you might run. If you post a list of programs you use, it will likely be trivial to establish which are triggering the warning to appear.
GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

I've tried restarting my pc and running the game before opening literally anything else.
Also tried completely reinstalling the game and it didn't help.
Also went through every single process in Task Manager and closed everything I could.

At this point I honestly don't know what else it could possibly be.

It also wasn't an issue before new patch dropped and I hope it's some kind of issue on GGG's side and there are more people reporting it
AFTER DELETING MY POE2 FOLDER IN DOCUMENTS/MY GAMES/POE2 IT HAS BEEN FIXED

So yeah, if you are using FilterBlade with a custom sounds it can be tagged by the anticheat. Hope it gets fixed since there are a lot of ppl with the same setup that will run into this

Change your render engine back to D12, it fixed it for me, currently writing to support again about that
Also had this happen earlier today when I first logged in for the new patch - I last played at 0.3 launch weekend and never had any such issues before.

I did have some year-old .filter file in My Games\Path of Exile 2 from 0.1 launch, but I don't see how that could be the culprit here - mine wasn't even using any custom sounds or anything like that. And the only overlays I have installed are the extremely common ones: Discord, the Nvidia App suite and Steam (though I play on standalone client). The same exact setup, both hardware and software, I've had since PoE2 launched and even before that. Plus I've never used any 3rd party tools for PoE2, not even PoB so we can exclude those.

Deleting the aforementioned folder did remove the warning, but the way this hasn't been a very widespread issue leads me to think it's something very specific: I'm for example still on Windows 10 and I use older Nvidia drivers (572.16), that's really the only thing I can think of that might have somehow triggered this.

I've had my account since 2013 and never had any problems, I just worry that now it's been automatically flagged as a suspected cheater and will just get summarily nuked if something like this were to ever occur again.

Edit: Vulkan seems to be the culprit, switching to it makes the warning appear - no such issues with DX12.

I am also getting this message. Having not played the game in over a month, and never having any trouble with something like this before, I can only conclude that the patch broke something.

I am not using any filters at all, no overlays.

Im on Windows 10, and have had my account since before Path of Exile 1 was publicly released.
I fixed it. It seems to be some kind of error with Direct X. After reverting to Dx-11 and then back to 12 again, it seems to have stopped the message from coming up.

That is not particularly reassuring however. Since you threaten account deletion.
+1, terrible response from support also.

been here since poe1 closed beta, never used anything "illegal", got this warning yesterday and its been making me login twice and warning me ever since.
