Can't access my email to log in - help please!
|
I am currently trying to log in to my account to play Path of Exile 2. I purchased the game a few months back, and I am trying to log in again for the new update this weekend.
I can't seem to log in unless I use the verification code sent to my email that is linked to my account, but I no longer have access to this email account as the email address has been deleted (it was from a prior school I used to attend, and no longer am a student). I also cannot change my email account without access to the current one that is linked to my account. I am hoping there is another way for me to verify that I own this account and to get my current email linked to the Path of Exile 2 purchase I made. I have used Steam to play Path of Exile 1 in the past, but this time around I purchased Path of Exile 2 on the stand-alone client. I have contacted support via email, but I am getting what looks like automated responses like: [Removed by Support] If anyone on the support team could see this and help me manually change my email address into one I can log into, that'd be very helpful. It's not an automated message. Respond to them with as much information as you can.
They're not going to discuss changing an account's credentials over a public forum. Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.

I've gotten the same exact written out response from two named people in the emails I have received, so that's what made me think it was automated.

Hey there, I'm sorry to hear that! Could you please email us at support@grindinggear.com so we can look into this matter for you?

" Do you remain logged into the website on the affected account? If so, it's a bit of a process - but you should be able to have the website generate you a key to unlock Path of Exile 2 Early Access on Steam, at which point you can download, install, and run the Steam version of the game to use the /verify chat command. https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account/early-access edit: Actually, did they specifically ask you to use the /verify chat command in PoE 2? I'd have thought doing that in any game in which you're logged in on the account would be okay.
