Molten Blast Hurt by being a Mace only skill.

Maces are very heavily geared towards pure melee, this is reinforced by one of the best modifiers the + level to skills on maces can only roll for melee gems.

Molten Blast being a Projectile skill with no melee component means it cannot benefit from one of the best modifiers weapons can roll.

I believe there are three solutions here.

1.) Molten Blast becomes an all Melee type weapon skill ( Maces, Quarter Staves, Spear, then eventually Swords and axes as well. Atleast one of these can roll Projectile Skill levels )

2.) + Level to Type Skills needs to be on the tree and not gear

3.) Molten Blast needs to be reworked to have a melee component like its PoE1 counter part which had a melee impact on the ground that generated the orbs.
Melee specific modifiers enhanced the hit, and the orbs that were generated were fire damage projectiles that were a set % of the melee hit damage.


The skill is extremely underwhelming, and as shown with the Ruetoo video, while it can get insane attack speed that amount of gear needed to make it work and it's still subpar for top endgame content.

I think either of the solutions above could help nudge the skill without breaking it.


Edit: I guess this is a none issue. When looking into the modifiers the Attack Skill modifier was not showing as an option, so if this is there then this can be ignored.
