Have a node that turns spawned wolves into extra attack speed/damage would like to do a non minion werewolf build.

You can try do Abyssal Lich with shapeshifting. Put everything into minions with attack speed and damage bonuses and max your spirit (including new nodes that give more spirit from body armor).
