All dialogs skips and disappears from NPC

Playing on PS5.
Every time I click an NPC their dialog fast forwards or skips and then the dialog disappears. So far every quest is lie that.

This is the most frustrating thing. I can't follow any of the quest dialog because of this.
I almost purchased this today but decided to give the free weekend a shot first to see how this game is. So far I am not impressed. I just got my PS5 and I expected big things since it's not available on PS4. But in my opinion it plays like a ps4 game. The graphics and dialog are lacking.
I hope this improves.
Bee running POE1 for 3 1/2 years, and compared to that, this has a long way to go.
We will see how this weekend pans out.
Dialog drop is a total disappointment.
