Rule of Cool.

Hello GGG,

I am having the most fun with poe2. I've played every league, tried to play meta and off meta builds, engaged in trading and theorycrafting.

Bear has a TON of interaction with all warrior mechanics, with no downsides.
Shapeshifts in general work amazing with caster hybrids...but hear me out now.

Sometimes, the rule of cool has to be chosen for the greater good.

Add combo generation for the wolf as a niche mechanic, much how Bear works with almost all aftershocks and totem mechanics.

Wolf fits the monk theme, it fits the monk side of the passive tree, but you not being able to interact with 90% of the monk kit and drop monk buffs and combo points simply shifting to wolf just brings me out of it.

Or if you feel there must be a downside, put the combo generation as a support gem.

This is all I want, to be able to fully play my Chaula Wolf, the Cholf.
