Long Loading Screens + Forcing Drivers Downgrade is a joke for this release
|
I understand Early Access very well. I play other games like that too, aka Star Citizen, considered most unoptimized. This is first time when I decided to clean and DDu my drivers, have a fresh install to have everything working at best for launch and game telling me to go F.. myself and my newest drivers.
P.s Before this launch today I had older drivers. I launched game before the patch dropped. I had no warning about my drivers yet I still had long loading screens so I naturally decided to refresh them. Now I get both message and the long loading screens.... Was this rushed or devs decided to just put a blame on players and their drivers? All I ever hear is to "Update Your Drivers!" Not here, not today tho. It wouldn't be a problem but PoE is not the only game in my library and downgrading drivers for no particular reason for one game other than rush of devs and inability for them to prepare game for newest drivers is absolute joke. Also swapping from Vulkan to Dx12 results in CTD and error. Nice. The message as well states any driver outside of mentioned but post on reddit also states inconsistency of those driver working and not working even if they are outside of the "unsafe" range: https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/comments/1pkz3v1/amd_error_still_occurring_after_downgrading_gpu/ ![]() twitch.tv/unik0rnu Last edited by Unik0rnu#9262 on Dec 12, 2025, 3:34:30 PM Last bumped on Dec 12, 2025, 7:32:30 PM

Yeah a company of this size should be able to ensure the latest drivers work. I had to revert to drivers from September. But I couldn't just overwrite the old drivers either because this would cause a compatibility problem so the AMD Adrenaline Software wouldn't even run. So I had to uninstall it completely. This shouldn't be required.
