Cast on X that triggers attack skills

The fact that it can trigger only spells is somehow limiting for martial weapons builds.
Auto casting a spell with a martial weapon equipped make it so you dont get any spell benefit from it, either damage or +level or any other modifier we find in staves/wand.

Also with the introduction of shapeshifting autocasting a spell does it turn you back into human form?
