Trying the game after quite a while, experiencing weird network like issues ?

Not sure if it is a bug or anything, and this does not seem purely gameplay related either so .... posting it to general at first (I guess it might not stay there long though)

I stopped playing about a year ago, and I'm not planning to really dive into PoE again, but a bit nostalgic, I thought I would maybe semi-casually make another character or something, see if my computer could still run the game.

But the two maps I tried were not very enjoyable (btw, an SSF ruthless character .... and I found absolutely no map in my ssf ruthless standard stash ? wtf, something happened ? I have a 88 and I think 91 character in SSF ruthless there is no way I did not have a single map in my stash .... Was there a purge of remove-only tabs or something ? or a new setting to hide them ? the website shows more than I had when I played yesterday I reckon), like it was lagging even though :

- < 40 ms, ethernet connection so quite stable and very low.

- Lockstep

Yet sometimes I click somewhere and the character takes more than a second before something happens on the screen and it starts moving ? (no monsters around and it still happens)

It does not happen for every move of course (else I would probably have stopped right away). I know that the network has always been quite unreliable (I have seen many times out of sync situations playing lockstep, which should literally be impossible)

Has there recently been any change that could league to this situation ? are there any tricks to fix it ? (no, I played years under predictive until they added lockstep which vastly improved my experience of the game so I'm not going back to predictive lol. Although I'm probably done with HC)

No maps -> check box "show remove-only tabs" - I assume you were just playing league characters and so you are not familiar how stuff gets moved to Standard?

Latency -> not sure where you're located, but there have been issues in recent times with routing (ISP side) and server stability (GGG side). Try a few different ones in your region, and make sure your instance is actually in that new area while testing

If that doesn't help, try changing to Predictive mode

There have been no particular changes that'd suddenly make your connection this wonky. I assume you checked if it's anything on your end? I.e. see if you experience packet loss while testing your connection?

I played standard a long time ago here and there, it's just been a while and I actually did not remember that feature !

Ok, so it's an option that I can change, no remove-only purge, nice to hear lol.

I haven't done a proper investigation, the connection seems fine and I know that the networking in PoE has had issue for .... well since the beginning, so I was wondering if something was up with it ! I might have one or two pieces of software installed to monitor it, I'll give it a quick check and see what it says.
