Hivebrain Gland Encounter disappears upon death

I was running the hivebrain gland bosses in order to get the bloodline ascendency, however, after I killed the bosses, my character died to some damage over time or something.

Upon respawning in my hideout and re-entering the map, the hive thing disappeared, preventing me from going back in to pick up my loot or to select the bloodline ascendency.
