Slow startup and high ram usage

The first startup of the game takes about 4-6 minutes, even if i close the game and leave for a few hours its doing the same, Windows says the app crashes but if i leave it it will start.

Also, my ram usage shoots up to 8.5gb at launch and kinda stays there maybe goes up a percent or so even after hours, but what changes is my ram usage PERCENTAGE, it goes to 80-94% usage but the numbers stay the same, mind you i only use discord and maybe a youtube video on a browser active, and yes ive checked with closing EVERYTHING its still the same.

Specs:

- AMD 5600x (not overclocked)

- 32gb 3600MHz CL18 RAM

- Nvidia GTX 1070 gpu

- 1TB Kingston M.2 NVMe 3500mb/s read / 2100mb/s write

- i am on wired network at solid 250/250mb/s

Virus check and all drivers are clean and up to date. No hidden program hogging in the background either. And my disk storage is only at like 25%.

Within the game client's Options menu, which Renderer are you using?

Does this occur with all three options?

There really isn't enough information here for anyone to diagnose this - and, truth be told - I am not even convinced there is a problem here in the first place.

Your computer having empty RAM isn't going to affect its performance in any way - it is very much the definition of idle resources going to waste. It could be the Superfetch feature of Windows, given you mention using one of those Operating Systems. Modern Operating Systems are intentionally designed to utilise spare RAM to try to speed up certain actions (e.g. the launching of programs), and to then make such RAM available if you go to do something which requires more memory. No modern OS is going to report "you have 32 GB of RAM, I'm doing nothing with ~20 GB of it".

Well i just find it weird that it says a number but the percentage doesnt add up at all. Also, superfetch is disabled.
Some common apps - e.g. the Windows Task Manager - allow you to sort running applications by memory usage. Such a screenshot might potentially shed light on what's happening.

But there'll always be some examples of programs that don't get represented there very well - if at all. Anti-cheat programs don't get listed, by way of example - admittedly, I doubt GGG are shipping one with PoE! I would be interested in whether the issue is reproducible in a Windows Clean Boot, or whether the behaviour is materially different when operating in that environment.

Please don't take this as personal criticism, it isn't intended that way - but it's difficult to try to gauge from your post what it is you're hoping for. Sometimes people show up with a lot of screenshots and detailed descriptions and hope to receive a precise explanation of what is happening and why on their system. Others can be a bit more privacy conscious and just seek more generalised examples and explanations. To be clear - neither is illegitimate; neither is 'better' than the other.

You haven't provided a screenshot of what you're looking at - or even specified which utility you're using to measure RAM utilisation - so all we can really do is take blind shots in the dark at what the explanation might be in your case due to the absence of information. But you've also sought to rule out potential explanations that don't confirm with your configuration (e.g. Superfetch).

It's possible that the combination of 1) a link to a DxDiag on Pastebin, and, 2) a link to an MSInfo on Pastebin would significantly help posters here in Technical Support attempt to root cause the issue. Based on the posts to-date I wouldn't be surprised if you wouldn't be comfortable sharing those - and, hey - fair enough if so. The MSInfo, in particular, could be considered 'invasive' by some.

I just raise them as an example of what I'm talking about. Our ability to comment specifically on your system and its behaviour will always be constrained by our knowledge of it.

To be fair; personally, I probably would be comfortable posting a DxDiag on a public forum - but I'm really not sure about an MSInfo. So no judgement on my end either way.
