Methodical versus blasting

There's lots of arguments about what the vision of the game should be. Blasting, fast, zoom or slow methodical combat. Wouldn't adding atlas tree nodes of "decrease monsters, increase strength and loot." And "increase monster amount." solve the problem? Wouldn't that let the player pick what they want?

GGG has made it clear that POE 2 will be more methodical and not as zoomy.
The zoomy fellers have POE 1 and the methodical players have POE 2. The problem is the internet most people think the way they want the game or how they play the game is how everyone should play it so you get a lot of POE 1 "veterans" who think POE 2 should literally just a copy paste. GGG has made it clear more than 10 times and in every interview that the player base for POE 2 needs and should be different. |

I understand that poe2 won't be exactly like poe. Even in this hypothetical of adding monster amount via the atlas tree it wouldn't get to poe levels. But is allowing the player to tailor their mapping to be more blasty or methodical a bad thing?

" I think you made this comment forgetting that Poe2 was an expansion pack for Poe1 players. There's no such thing as "us" or "you." It was supposed to be an improvement pack for Poe1's flaws. What you consider a Poe2 game would naturally be absent. GGG felt it was appropriate to release Poe2 as a separate game to avoid disrupting the game due to its excessive system size. |
