Trying to swap gears, my spectre disappeared. halp

So, my spectre gem setup is in boots (rrbb )

I tried to swap gears in town, moving this setup to helmet (rbrb).
Welp, after i moved to my hideout, my spectres are gone.
my expensive turtle and forest warrior all gone.

I desecrated multiple times, i don't see em.
I moved the setup to the old boots, I still don't see em.

How do I get my spectre back? I can't even swap gears while maintaining my spectres?
