Armour MTX limitations

There are no female, or at least very few and not very feminine armour MTX sets to purchase. They are all very bulky or masculine. Could you please have your artists keep this in mind. My wife won't spend $$$ on skins, or push for challenges because they are uninteresting to her. I think at least in a purely financial sense this would in your interests.

I think it could help GGG if your wife posted some examples of armour sets doing things 'right' - be they from Path of Exile or otherwise - which the artists could reference to better internalise the feedback. At the moment it's a bit "do them more how I would like" without this truly being defined.

My first thought when reading your post was the much-maligned 'boob plate' armour worn by 40K's Adepta Sororitas. While their new range was overwhelmingly positively received (and I do collect me some Sacred Rose!), female community members, in particular, despised the design of the chest plate & any art which appeared to feature 'armoured high heals'.

While it may have had some fans, a lot of women felt like they waited a long time for better 40K representation only to be offered some overly sexualised guff. I repeatedly saw people making the point that the chest plate design - rather than causing axes or swords to be deflected away - seemed almost perfectly designed to ensure the wearer would be impaled through the chest. The rather corset-inspried design of the body armour also received a lot of flak on social media.

Adepta Sororitas 'boob plate' example

Some Path of Exile-exclusive feedback on, say, her three favourite existing armour sets and a similar number of 'less preferred' sets could further help GGG's understanding of her feedback.

Perusing the Armour section of the MTX shop;

To try to set expectations - because of GGG's business model entailing each sold armour set being available on all (gender-locked) classes, just as the store isn't inundated with distinctly male-style loincloths and cups, I doubt the MTX store is going to start offering distinctly 'booby' sets anytime soon. It would significantly increase the workload of the artists when altering it for each class.

I do suspect the company decided very early on that each character of each gender would be somewhat... shall we say... modestly endowed, in a way which would be convenient when tailoring armour sets for each model & rig. I don't think they're willing to change that.
