I don't know why this death effect was added to the game: explored area of the map gets wiped/all loot on the floor is removed/all mechanics are removed/etc if you die to an empowered boss in end game maps...
I had forgotten that this was a thing and I just went flying into a boss fight (vs Zekoa, The Headcrusher) because I had taken a Shrine and wanted to use it before the effects ran out as it would be wasted by grabbing loot / going back to the start to complete the mechanics I missed, etc. Of course, this boss is a Mighty Silverfist that 1 shots players and I haven't seen one since the campaign (and it has been a while since playing).
Personally, I think this should be removed from the game, BUT if this is going to stay in the game, then I think there should be a pop up window before entering the boss fight reminding players to make sure they have cleared the map, picked up loot, done all mechanics, etc, as they will all be lost if you die to the boss.
I can only see this as pushing people towards rage quitting, lol, which is how I felt. ESPECIALLY new players, or players who have been away from the game for a while.
If it is going to stay in the game, then PLEASE have a pop up reminding players to clear the area before entering the boss chamber, and PLEASE allow players to toggle it ON/OFF in their options (as I know some players may not want it on, or maybe some players may want it at the start of a season but may want to turn it off as they progress).

Sounds like you're saying you can't remember that this happens, every time to go to a boss. lol.

I think it's frustrating and tedious that every map has a boss, now. Like yeah, you can remember and note which maps have what bosses - and I do - but that's just tedium that was never necessary. The current design takes something special - the occasional big boss fight - and turns it into a common annoyance.

I haven't played in a while and this was like the 2nd map I did after coming back from a break. I didn't play it much after they introduced this change the first time, and I remember how frustrating it was the first time it happened.
