Why is Hollow Palm being removed from existence?

This change to the Hollow Palm Technique keystone in the 0.4 patch doesn't even feel like it should be there, it's a targeted deletion of the Attack Speed Staggering Palm archetype.

This harsh nerf is completely uncalled for while core issues with other meta builds remain untouched.

the keystone now requires 75 Item Evasion Rating for 1% more AS, up from the previous 25. This makes the Attack Speed scaling three times less efficient, completely destroying the build’s damage ceiling and viability for endgame content.

This massive efficiency reduction for a niche, HP build that barely anyone ever played makes no sense when the high-end power of Deadeye/Ranger ascendancies and certain Lightning Skills remains as strong as ever, not to mention the disgusting Rhoa which has absolutely no place in the current game's state.

You are killing build diversity by targeting a unique playstyle instead of addressing the fundamental supremacy of the established meta. Please reconsider this severe reduction before the patch goes live, or I guess we can just all enjoy seeing 50%+ deadeye/rangers in the first two weeks of the league..

Ah yes. The infamous GGG triple-tap.

Projectile nova gone
HP Aspeed scaling gone
Culmination capped at 40% / Vaulting Impact stacks capped (dependent which you used)

Sorry, you will have to settle with 2.2 aps instead of 2.4

The difference isn't flat 0.2%, it's 0.2% out of 2.4%, meaning you are losing 8.3% of your total Attack Speed.

This doesn't correlate to 8.3% less damage, it's 8.3% LESS DPS. Your damage output is instantly cut by this amount.

Also, if you rely on Leech for survival, you are healing and recovering life or mana 8.3% slower

Any effects that rely on hits (like Staggering Palm which was CRUCIAL for these type of builds or applying specific ailments - ALSO CRUCIAL) are triggered 8.3% less often.

Does it start to make sense how this compounds? This direct speed loss then compounds the other, more severe nerf: the 3 times reduction in AS scaling.

It means the build now: 1) starts slower, and 2) has no efficient way to get that speed back. It's not about "settling" with the build; it effectively kills its endgame scaling and high-tier viability.
Hollow Palm wasn't even that great in endgame already. It was usable but was much better in campaign than in endgame. I also don't see why they felt the need to nerf it this much.

You also have to consider that we will now only be able to use one attack speed rune in gloves instead of 3. So, all attack speed based builds will be much slower.

I mean it was great in endgame, albeit with a heavy investment. In my opinion it was a niche build that required a ton of time to properly set up and the payoff was decent, it was actually fun to play.

Really sad to see agency being removed from us once more, I guess GGG just loves having LA meta every single league.
