Omen of Homogenizing wasn't the problem - ground loot was the problem

I am so incredibly sad and frustrated that they FINALLY made crafting something that is attainable by more than the top 10% of the player base - and then immediately took it away. We finally had a way to drive towards a final craft state without just boring layers of RNG on top of more RNG. It made it something that a "normal" player could do successfully, with some knowledge, time, and moderate currency. I fail to see how removing that omen doesn't just obliterate the end game gearing options for the bottom 90% of the player base.
Maybe if tiered rares that dropped on the ground werent just slot machines, they could be worth it. But, again, layers of RNG compounding more layers of RNG aren't very fun or rewarding. What's the odds of picking up a tier 4 or tier 5 rare and having it actually be usable in end game? 1 in 100? 1 in 1000? Who wants that!? Who wants to sift through garbage for hours and hours, hoping to dust off something viable? Im still in complete disbelief that the most celebrated crafting in the game was just....removed completely within a single patch. Honestly, it makes me wonder if I'm even coming back this season. I had grand plans for this league, but now that crafting is SIGNIFICANTLY diminished, and the end game is still just the same aimless wandering...im wondering why I would spend the time. Sigh. GGG thinks we don't understand odds. 99% chance to be useless crap and waste your time. = 100% chance im not even stopping to look at it. |
