Spectre corpses do not spawn at Genesis Tree

Learnt the hard way that it appears that if you unequip/lose stats for your Raise Spectre gem at the Genesis Tree (Monastary of the Keepers), the spectres are permanently destroyed and no corpses spawn.

Lost a Perfect Forest Tiger and Perfect Warlord (~41 Divine current price)

Tried zoning between hideout and Monastary, no corpses, also tried opening a fresh map, also no corpses.
