Recording POE with OBS - something, somewhere, has gone bad
|
Once, maybe twice a league I make a video showcasing my build(s). For as long as I can remember, I have used OBS for that.
I have recorded quite a bit of footage throughout the league, only to realize that out of a sudden, recorded vids have lost insane amounts of frames. I have not changed my software or hardware between the leagues. I have not even updated anything other than GPU drivers (hoping that the issue with cogwheels finally gets resolved with every new drivers update). Has anyone experienced similar issues and managed to resolve them? Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris. Last bumped on Nov 30, 2025, 10:18:43 AM

known bug.
use Vulkan for POE render will solve the problem ,or capture whole screen in OBS instead of windows capture This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?

" I tried that already. in the past I only used DX12 in game and it was fine. before I made this post, I explored a lot of options, including switching to Vulkan. That had no effect on frame loss in recorded vidoes (and neither did it have any positive nor negative effect on my in-game framerate, which was holding at about 120fps).
