CA realm disconnect issues when mapping ID: 687,450,032

On a wired connection + CA realm. Haven't had issues like this in prior leagues, at least not for a long time. Seems like re-entering a map triggers the server disconnect issue as well as starts happening during breach encounters sometimes, but these might just be a coincidence. This seems more like server side instance bugs or datacenter-local network traffic congestion eventually causing packets from the server to stop sending for long enough to trigger "abnormal disconnect" in the client.
" It's not my connection. I am able to run speedtest and other network things at the same time the disconnects/high latency are happening. Also my connectivity path to the CA servers is fine. (Note this is 64byte packets sent every 3 seconds, so it ran for half an hour.) ![]() I kicked off a speedtest during one of the "disconnect" periods to demonstrate that my external connectivity was fine concurrently. ![]() My PC is a high end PC and that's all fine. I can see in the game latency stats where server packets drop to 0 and so this is demonstrated in the stats panel as latency spiking to infinite values (because the server stopped sending packets). This is very much a network or server side issue. I am super frustrated because the time cost here for these disconnects is massive. I've lost out on rare spawns and other loot or incurred farm time because of this. I don't want to play the game or buy supporter packs because it's so bad. Luckily this one didn't result in "Abnormal Disconnect" but I happened to be streaming when this happened. I had a little hiccup so I fired up OBS to stream what was going on.. then things were mostly fine up until the 6 minute mark in the map.
Notice that I am still able to stream while this is going on (I also tested loading a couple of websites to be sure). Just Path of Exile is having issues here, nothing else about my network connection is abnormal. If my network connection was having issues, I would also notice this in my streaming client. As you can see, my streaming is not interrupted. Skip to 6 minute and 6 seconds to see what happened. Typically this gets real bad then gets "abnormal disconnect" and dumps me back to the login screen, but not always. PLEASE LOOK INTO WHY THE SERVERS ARE SO AWFUL THIS LEAGUE. This is very clearly a service side bug that is getting triggered, server side over-subscription, or something in the datecenter network causing this to happen. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2631397732 Bug ID I made while this was being recorded: 687,450,032 Yet another unpaid Path of Exile 2 Alpha Tester. It's still intermittently awful. Since GGG doesn't want to acknowledge the issue or fix it, I'll continue to recommend that people don't play Path of Exile due to it being horribly unstable -- and continue to avoid buying supporter packs anymore since they don't seem to care or are unable to fix the horrible quality of the game.
I've lost multiple blights and hives because of server-side issues like this, including the significant investment in those maps. It's a such a depressing waste of time and really shines a bright light on just how little GGG cares about the game quality anymore. Yet another unpaid Path of Exile 2 Alpha Tester. I would be interested in whether the issue is reproduced while using a VPN. There shouldn't be any need to spend money on this; Proton's free plan, for example, would be fine.
While I agree the issue does not appear to be on your end - you have repeatedly asserted that the problem is located within or immediately prior to the data centre, but you haven't shared any evidence you're relying upon to come to that conclusion. The internet is a bigger place than your home network and the data centres of GGG's hosting providers; an intermittent connectivity issue could be caused just about anywhere along the route rather than necessarily occurring on one end or the other.
