Vulconus Dagger not working with Caspiro Jewel Socketed

I thouhgt that if I used the dagger to obtain the avatar of fire while having the caspiro jewel socketed it would work but I dont obtain the avatar of fire buff for the 4sec I'm supposed to obtain it every 8sec. But it does nothing even when i'm in a map.
