Network Spike issue

Hello,

looking for assistance in resolving this issue i'm having with POE. my network will spike in game and lags super hard. I don't have this issue with any other game except POE.

things ive done to try to fix.

confirmed with multiple network/packet loss tests my internet is fine.

played other online games with no issues at all.

performed a DNS flush on my PC

windows diagnostic tool/memory diagnostic- no issues found

I've switched to "prediction" on POE network settings.

I've switched to all 3 render settings (DX12/DX11/Vulcan)

switched my graphics settings to low.

changed my NVIDIA Shader Cache size to 100GB.

fresh uninstall/re-install of the game.

no idea what to do to fix this. please help

Silly question number one: When did you last do a full reboot of your modem/router? Try that first.

Number two: Have you tried a different login server at all? If things are normal on a different server, that would suggest an issue on GGG server hosts.

How so?

Please run an MTR test while the problem is particularly bad, and post a link to it on Pastebin.

To clarify - if OP has no issues on a different server, most likely his "normal" server is having "issues". It happens. A lot.

Why I suggested a full router/modem reset - most often that solves all connection issues, such as the spiking that OP has. I have had that type of spiking and lag - router reboot has always cured it.

Edit: If the connection is routing via certain EU routes, then there are known issues with certain ones. Twelve99 being one of them.

Update:

I attempted the above stuff (router reset and server swap)

I believe I figured out the issue.

as a last ditch effort I updated my chipset driver and then updated my motherboards BIOS. after I did this ive had no issue with network spikes at all. last night and today so far ive been fine.
Update again:

Issue started to happen again,

I have completed the MTR test and i have the results. not sure how to go about censoring this information. i'm not particularly comfortable sharing my IP on a forum for everyone to see.
