Hi GGG, I wanted to share some feedback on the early-game leveling experience, especially while playing SSF and or leaguestarting. I’ve been trying to level a Warrior again, and the biggest issue I’m running into is attack speed. The base speed feels so slow that I often end up tanking multiple hits before I can land even one of my own. I understand the goal of “meaningful combat,” but right now it feels more clunky than deliberate. This becomes especially noticeable in early boss fights—I'm currently stuck at the Act 1 boss because I simply can’t trade hits fast enough. By comparison, leveling a Monk felt dramatically easier. I was flooded with early weapons that had +level to melee skills in Act 1, which made progression smooth. I’m not sure if that was intentional or just lucky RNG, but I imagine the experience would feel a lot worse without that gear. The Witch continues to be the only class that consistently feels good to level since 0.1—whether with skeleton arsonist, SRS, ES Contagious, or Unearth minions. The early tools she gets are both reliable and smooth in SSF. I love experimenting with different builds—this time I wanted to try Shield Wall—but right now melee, especially Warrior, feels disproportionately rough compared to other classes.
