Search not searching

Bug Report ID: #1,138,815,825 The attached image shows a search for "unfa" as in "Unfaltering". There are four items in the stash tab which have the "Unfaltering" mod. One of these items is not highlighted by the search. Trying a similar search term (like the word "unfaltering" or any partial spelling of it) doesn't work. This specific occurrence appears to be related to the unfaltering affix name, because the same Twilight Regalia does become highlighted when I search for e.g. "cold resistance", "energy shield", "twilight regalia", "regenerate", or even "104". A possible cause is that the item for which search is broken, has been through the recombinator. The other items have not. Update: This appears to be caused by use a regal orb on the item. I can routinely make the item stop appearing in a valid search for "resplendent" and "unfaltering" affixes by using a regal orb. Rare items have a different naming scheme. For magic items, the mods appear as prefix and suffix. But for rares, they roll random names. i.e. using a regal orb removed the "unfaltering" from the item's name. Maybe it was that part that matched before. |

So is the answer that this is intended behaviour, the search function is not supposed to search for the names of affixes?
In that case can I divert this thread to ask for the search function to respect the names of affixes? It searches damn near everything else about the item. Last edited by AStrangeFish#1494 on Nov 28, 2025, 7:13:01 AM

" I'd love to see that too. I think the regex matches against the text you get with ctrl+shift+c for an item. Mod names are not in there. But it would be very useful during crafting to just name the mod instead of a range of values. |
