Spectres Keep disappearing

I keep losing my spectres. ill have them on my buff bar then sometimes when they die i will lose them entirely. I have tried multiple things from online post to prevent them but keep losing them. I am using ritual corpses bought from the market so they are not recoverable through desecrate.
