If Shockwave is listed as a secondary support (levels 25-35), you can place Appolyon MTX on Shako's Shockwave Support, but it won't show up.

Skills granted by items aren't supposed to be able to MTX'd per a dev comment years ago. When the new Impending Doom MTX came out the league it was really meta (back in 2023?), a lot of people got the same harsh realization and I could only suggest to them to submit for a refund if they just bought the MTX.
There's currently some inconsistencies with Foulborn uniques incorrectly showing up in the MTX list as they can be MTX'd, but then nothing will show when you try to apply MTX to the granted skill. And this is probably very similar where one side of the Shako shows in the list and one doesn't, but neither of them will do anything to change the MTX since it is granted by an item and not socketed. This was supposed to be fixed in one of the expansions years ago, but.. here we are. If you recently bought the MTX to go with the item, you can try to contact Support for a refund. |

" Oh. Since regular skills granted by items can use MTX, I thought that 'Support gems' supported too. It's really strange that this not a thing a year later still. Thanks for the info, because one of the other ideas I wanted to play with was Impending Doom with few new uniques, lol. I'm aware about refund, but I'm not sure if it's worth. It's probably one of the best mtx visually in the game, but at the same time, shockwave feels weak without some mechanical-anarchistic-trickery, like my Shako idea I wanted to try.
