Somatic shell not exploding after damage shield is destroyed

Somatic Shell is not exploding after the shield has been depleted if the enemy dies from the overkill damage. Also, the projectile is not firing even when there is an explosion.

I used a level 1 gem and a level 21 gem, both of which experienced the same issue.
