Flame link doesn't last as long as it should (not line of sight breaking) - 631 480 442

Hello, Im playing with a friend and we noticed that his flame link randomly doesn't last as long as it should.
This happens in hideout so it's not a line of sight breaking issue. It should last 12.72 seconds according to tooltip, but for some reason, it will sometimes break after 8 seconds and will sometimes last the full duration. It is socketed in a corrupted hand of phreacia and is linked to more duration. We tried socketing it in different items but same thing, sometimes it lasts full duration, sometimes it breaks early. Here's the factors I'm aware of that can break a link skill:
1. Line of sight 2. Range 3. Duration. 4. Casting a new link. If you are in some neutral area like lab entrance or in a map, you can rule out all 4 are not a factor just by having them cast and time how long it lasts before the link runs out. If you're standing next to each other, nothing in between, they aren't pressing any other link skills, and it doesn't last the full 12.72 seconds, then something else is wrong. I've not tested link skills personally yet, but could it be map modifier reduced buff duration causing the links to be shorter for that map? Otherwise it could just be random clipping on terrain or other environmentals. If you're sure it's still bugged, my suggestion is to record a video from whoever has the buff timer on their UI and it should catch whenever the link skill falls off prematurely with time remaining. Then can check at those times if there's something else going on. |

Here's the compressed video, as you can see, it was recorded in a hideout so no duration mod, we are both standing still so no terrain collision. It will sometimes last the full duration, sometimes it won't. We tried changing the gems setup because we suspected the totem/aura socketed in the items had an effect, but it seems totally random. Are we missing something? |
