After moving from Keepers HC to Keepers SC Niko's Fuel Cannot be completed

After dying and moving to softcore Keepers, ALL quest progress was reset. I went to act 4 to re-enable delve and talked to Nico to begin the "Niko's Fuel" quest. As soon as I spoke to him, it skipped the collection and went directly to the "Visit the Mine Encampment" objective. I cannot enter the Mine Encampment as it says I do not have the correct quest state, and sulphite does not spawn otherwise. Please help.

This is intended. Only your character gets moved to SC Keepers when you die, not any progress made. You need to recomplete questlines in SC Keepers.

You clearly didn't read the post, because I said I attempted to complete the quest. The sulphite does not spawn in The Mines Level 1 or 2 because the quest state skipped to "Head to the Mine Encampment". Thanks for telling me what I already knew though.

My apologies for the hasty answer. The quest can be completed by meeting Niko as you continue playing, but it might take some time. It does not have to be in the exact area that the "quest" states.

Incidentally, all of these optional quests are not needed for game progress. You can safely ignore them until you meet the NPCs in the course of play.

Of course you should already know that, considering how long you have been playing.
