Bow builds are often pretty squishy. Your gear looks pretty decent, in general I don't think your doing much wrong, but a build with 3k max life and not much layers of defense is going to die sometimes if you are getting hit.
Mageblood and progenies flask is going to make their build much stronger, and the other expensive trimmings. Looks like what you've adjusted should be pretty good on a budget, but there will be some limitations. They have 1.5x your lifepool. Doppelganger is good, but it won't be as good as 70k armour and capped chaos res. Also their guard skill is probably more useful because of the armour. I don't think IC on a CWDT setup with 3k life is going to be that strong. Something like steelskin automation might be better, but I could be wrong, maybe that is too inconsistent uptime. Still on budget, I think what you are doing looks fine, just not going to be as strong. Main thing I am wondering about is your recovery? You seem to only have leech, which is not great on a low life pool. You should probably be using a life flask? They are not using one because they cant fit it in, but I think it would be best for you? Ghost dance might also be useful, maybe you don't have enough defenses for it to be good, but it might be worth trying if you are dying. What are you dying to exactly? Might be that you are juicing up too much content for the build to handle. Last edited by Belegur85#5784 on Nov 15, 2025, 12:15:34 AM

Also playstyle to consider: as a squishy build, are you running straight into packs of monsters?
That is like 99.9% of the time the problem... Starting anew....with PoE 2

Yeah, this build will rely on positioning to not get hit. I'm also wondering about flesh and stone. I think their build can handle being in packs because of the amour, and yours probably can't, so needs to stay at range. In which case flesh and stone might not be that useful, if you're getting hit bye close enemies, you're already in a bad spot that FaS might not overcome, even though it's generally a good defensive skill.

Ty for the answers!
I tweaked the gear and stuff a little to fix my chaos res and tweaked it a little. This is it now https://pobb.in/9XONIOQrbtlH As for the recovery, the leech has been kinda nice and i feel like i don't really need a life flask. If i am not hitting enemies i won't have charges and i will get oneshot anyways. I am really mostly dying to DOTs i think, i can't really see what kills me though, this game really needs a death recap... The problem was me - i was insane from unhinge, i guess to reach 100% crit chance but it made me like a waterbaloon. Turning it off kinda fixed it but i think y'all are right, it's kinda a skill issue. I am trying to push 8-mod T16 maps too, might have something to do with it. Ty for all the help! |

Yeah I assumed you weren't using unhinged, that's a lot of you're defense. Might be useful if doing bosses that don't use those damage types, but probably going to be difficult for mapping, if you're not one shotting everything.
8 mod corrupts can be pretty tough. I don't think you have any bleed or corrupted blood protection, could be those, but might be other dot as well. I didn't see your ascendancy was assassin before, you do have the poison life recovery, so that might be enough, but that and leech are conditional, so with no life flask, dot can cause problems.
